The world is getting stranger and the nights
spookier. It’s almost Halloween.
Beware of ghosts and haunted specters slipping
through the veil between the living and the dead.
To scare you.
Make you scream.

It’s a really silly play on words.
Maybe even absurd.
But if I can make you smile,
to my coffin I shall retire,
hot as fire,
to wait for a vampire,
to come and trick or treat.
