October Highlights - Strange and Spooky Things

With Halloween coming at the end of October, I thought I would spend the month blogging about strange and spooky entertainment.

I’m going to write mainly about books and movies, some new, some old, and some that haven’t lost their weird appeal over the years.

To kick off the strange theme for the month...

I’m bringing back “The Muppets”. The hand puppets that were created by a famous puppeteer, Jim Henson, in the 1970’s.

Remember Kermit the frog and Miss Piggy the femme fatale?

Well, “The Muppets” had their own music hall-style song-and-dance television show in the seventies. The stars of The Muppet Show also appear on the American children’s television show, Sesame Street.

Here they come, live on the blogger and with all of their quirkiness.
Drum roll for “The Muppets” now.

Let me introduce a red-haired, wild man type of puppet, and his chorus line of two singing and dancing, pink cow puppets.

Please welcome “The Muppets” and their “Mahna Manhna” song.
“Mahna Manhna” doesn’t make any sense but it’s a catchy tune.

The silly fun from yesteryears' is here…

Singing along, sort of...
Ashlyn
